The Last Glass is a short animation I made in fall 2014. The prompt of the project is “what if there was no water left?” so I made a project where a cool sci-fi looking character in spandex steals the last remaining glass of water in a museum.
One of the more interesting aspects of this project is that I used 3D models for all of the backgrounds. This allowed me to easily adjust the backgrounds to whatever perspective I needed and then render them out and create line drawings by tracing over them.
This was the second time where I really started to get comfortable with effects animation. They’re all very simple shapes but gave me a chance to experiment with timing.
